Water playground
The water playground is an adventurous journey of discovery in the fresh open air. It’s all about trying things out, experimenting, and especially learning through play.
You become a water manager and find out how to control the power of water. Create your own waterfall, pump water up with a real treadmill, redirect a stream, and see what happens when you open or close a sluice. By operating the sliders, you experience how the Delta Works keep the water under control, just like they do in the real Oosterschelde barrier.
It’s not just fun but also educational. You’ll see and feel how water works, and how clever technology helps keep the Netherlands dry. And yes, if your parents allow it, you can get soaking wet. So take off your shoes, roll up your trousers, and enjoy. Prefer to stay dry? That’s fine too.
Whether you’re a little engineer or simply in the mood to splash around, the water playground offers joy and insight for all ages.
