On an adventure during the “Oosterschelde Safari”!

The Oosterschelde National Park is the largest national park in the Netherlands! Both on, along and under water there is a lot to experience for young and old.

At Deltapark Neeltje Jans you get the unique opportunity to view this beautiful place from the water during the “Oosterschelde Safari”. From the ship “Christiaan B” you will look for the largest water mammal in the Netherlands, the seal. But of course we also look for the smallest whale-like, the harbour porpoise! And what about the many bird species that find their food along the sandbanks.

During this 2.5-hour “Oosterschelde safari” there is also a nature guide present who will tell you everything about life in the Oosterschelde national park. Of course, a large part of the flora and fauna is under water. That is why you can also get acquainted with what lives under water on the tour boat. On the deck you will find different containers and aquariums where you can see from close up what actually lives under water. From dogfish sharks to crabs and from sea anemones to oysters.

There are also several binoculars on board so that you can scour the water for everything that lives in the Oosterschelde. These cannot be reserved in advance. Of course you can bring your own binoculars if you have these.
